The Market Compass is an online directory created to connect vendors, event organizers, venues, and vendor-focused events in one convenient place.

Our goal is to make it easier for vendors to discover opportunities, organizers to find vendors and venues, and venues to connect with people looking for places to host events.


Is The Market Compass free to use?

Yes. Visitors can browse the directory, discover vendors, search for events, explore organizers, and find venues at no cost.

Some listing options, promotional opportunities, or premium features may be offered separately as The Market Compass grows.


Where does The Market Compass operate?

The Market Compass is designed to grow with the vendor and event community.

While we’re beginning with a regional focus, our long-term goal is to expand The Market Compass and connect vendors, organizers, venues, and events across the United States.


Vendors, Organizers & Venues

Who can create a listing?

The Market Compass accepts listings from eligible:

  • Vendors and small businesses that participate in markets, fairs, festivals, and similar events
  • Event organizers
  • Market and festival organizers
  • Venues available for events
  • Food vendors and food trucks
  • Other businesses or organizations directly connected to the vendor-event community

Listings must meet our current Listing Guidelines and Terms of Use.


Is my listing published immediately?

Not necessarily. Listings may be reviewed before publication to help maintain the quality, relevance, and accuracy of The Market Compass directory.


Why was my listing not approved?

A listing may be declined if it:

  • Contains inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Does not fit the purpose of The Market Compass
  • Violates our Listing Guidelines or Terms of Use
  • Duplicates an existing listing
  • Contains prohibited or inappropriate content

Can I edit my listing?

Yes. If you created your listing through your Market Compass account, you can update available listing information after signing in.

We encourage listing owners to keep their information current so vendors, organizers, venues, and visitors have access to accurate details.

Events

What types of events can be listed?

The Market Compass focuses on events that provide opportunities for vendors or are relevant to the vendor-event community.

Eligible events may include:

  • Craft and artisan markets
  • Vendor markets
  • Festivals
  • Fairs
  • Holiday markets
  • Community festivals and celebrations with vendors
  • Fundraising events featuring vendors
  • Pop-up markets
  • Other qualifying vendor-focused events

Who can submit an event?

Event organizers and eligible organizations may submit qualifying events to The Market Compass.

The person submitting an event should be authorized to provide information about the event or should provide accurate publicly available information.


Are event listings reviewed?

Event submissions may be reviewed before publication to help ensure they are relevant to The Market Compass and meet our quality and listing standards.


Can I update or cancel an event?

Yes. If you’re responsible for an event listing and the event’s date, location, vendor information, application status, or other details change, please update the listing as soon as possible.

If an event is canceled, its listing should also be updated promptly.


For Vendors

Can I use The Market Compass to find events accepting vendors?

Yes. One of the primary purposes of The Market Compass is to help vendors discover markets, festivals, fairs, and other events that may offer vendor opportunities.

Availability, application requirements, booth fees, deadlines, and acceptance decisions are determined by each individual event organizer.


Does The Market Compass guarantee that I’ll be accepted into an event?

No. The Market Compass helps vendors discover opportunities, but each event organizer establishes their own application requirements and determines which vendors are accepted.

A listing on The Market Compass does not guarantee acceptance or availability.


For Event Organizers

Can organizers use The Market Compass to find vendors?

Yes. Organizers can use vendor listings to discover businesses that may be a good fit for their events.

Organizers should contact vendors directly regarding availability, pricing, requirements, and participation.


Can I list events that are currently accepting vendors?

Yes. Organizers are encouraged to include vendor application information, deadlines, fees, and other relevant details when those options are available within the event listing.

Keeping this information current makes the directory more useful to vendors searching for opportunities.


For Venues

What types of venues can be listed?

Venues suitable for markets, festivals, fairs, pop-up events, and other vendor-focused gatherings may be eligible for a Market Compass listing.

This can include indoor and outdoor spaces, event facilities, fairgrounds, community spaces, and other locations available for qualifying events.


Can organizers contact venues through The Market Compass?

Venue listings can provide organizers with information needed to discover potential locations and determine how to contact the venue.

Rental availability, pricing, contracts, policies, and reservations are handled directly between the organizer and venue.


Directory Information

Does The Market Compass verify every listing?

We strive to maintain a useful and reliable directory and may review or verify information when appropriate.

However, The Market Compass cannot guarantee the accuracy of every listing. Users should independently verify important information directly with the vendor, organizer, event, or venue before making payments, signing agreements, traveling to an event, or making other commitments.


Does a listing mean The Market Compass recommends or endorses it?

No.

A listing on The Market Compass does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee of a vendor, organizer, venue, or event.

The Market Compass is a discovery and connection platform. Users are responsible for evaluating opportunities and deciding who they choose to do business with.


Is The Market Compass responsible for transactions between users?

No. Unless specifically stated otherwise, The Market Compass is not a party to agreements or transactions between vendors, organizers, venues, or other users.

Payment arrangements, booth fees, rental agreements, participation requirements, refunds, contracts, and other arrangements should be handled directly between the parties involved.


Advertising & Premium Features

Does The Market Compass offer paid listings?

Not at this time.

Our current focus is building a useful, high-quality directory for vendors, organizers, venues, and events.

Premium listing options or other paid features may be introduced as The Market Compass grows.


Can I advertise on The Market Compass?

Advertising opportunities are not currently available.

We may introduce sponsorship, featured placement, advertising, or other promotional opportunities in the future.

How do I report incorrect information?

If you discover inaccurate or outdated information in a listing, please contact us with the listing name and the information you believe needs to be corrected.

We will review the report and take appropriate action when necessary.


How do I report inappropriate content?

If you believe a listing violates our policies, please contact us with the listing name and a description of the issue.

Reports will be reviewed in accordance with our applicable policies and moderation procedures.
