  • Irrelevant comments.
  • Automated posting.
  • Unsolicited advertising.

5. Keep Content Appropriate

Content should be suitable for a broad audience.

The following content is prohibited:

  • Adult or sexually explicit material.
  • Graphic violence.
  • Illegal activity.
  • Dangerous or harmful content.
  • Hate organizations.
  • Terrorist content.
  • Offensive imagery.
  • Obscene language.

6. Reviews Must Be Genuine

If reviews are available on The Market Compass:

Users should:

  • Review only businesses or events they have personally experienced.
  • Be honest and factual.
  • Keep reviews respectful.

Businesses may not:

  • Post reviews about themselves.
  • Ask others to submit fake reviews.
  • Offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews.
  • Harass reviewers.

7. Business Conduct

Businesses and organizations using The Market Compass should:

  • Respond professionally to inquiries.
  • Keep listing information current.
  • Honor advertised pricing when possible.
  • Communicate changes promptly.
  • Conduct business ethically.

8. Event Organizer Responsibilities

Event organizers should:

  • Provide accurate event information.
  • Update cancellations or schedule changes promptly.
  • Clearly communicate admission fees and registration requirements.
  • Respond to participant questions in a timely manner.

9. Fraud Prevention

The following activities are prohibited:

  • Scams
  • Identity theft
  • Phishing
  • Fake businesses
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Fraudulent fundraising
  • Misleading financial offers
  • False claims of affiliation

Any suspected fraudulent activity may result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement.


10. Account Security

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

Do not:

  • Share your password.
  • Allow unauthorized access to your account.
  • Attempt to access another user’s account.
  • Circumvent security measures.

11. Reporting Violations

Users may report content or behavior they believe violates these Community Standards.

Reports should include enough information for us to investigate.

We review reports in good faith and may request additional information when needed.


12. Enforcement

Violations of these Community Standards may result in one or more of the following actions:

  • Educational warning
  • Content removal
  • Listing suspension
  • Account suspension
  • Permanent account termination
  • Removal of featured placement
  • Reporting to appropriate authorities when required by law

The severity of enforcement will depend on the nature and frequency of the violation.


13. Appeals

If you believe your content or account was removed in error, you may contact us to request a review.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.


14. Changes to These Standards

These Community Standards may be updated from time to time.

The Effective Date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent revision.

Continued use of The Market Compass after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated standards.
